Paul Rabinowitz is a multi-genre author, educator, and photographer whose work dynamically bridges the worlds of literature, visual art, and film. He is the author of seven books, including the novels Confluence and Bungalow, the novella The Clay Urn, the poetry collection truth, love and the lines in between, the short story collection Syncopated Rhythms, and the non-fiction work Grand Street, Revisited. He is also the creator of Limited Light, a distinctive volume pairing his prose with original portrait photography, which earned a Best of the Net nomination.
A widely published voice in the literary community, Rabinowitz’s works have appeared in The Sun Magazine, New World Writing, Arcturus (Chicago Review of Books), and The Montreal Review, among others. His text has inspired eight award-winning experimental films, and he directed the short film The Walk, based on his poem of the same name.
Deeply invested in community arts, Rabinowitz is the founder and Executive Director of ARTS By The People, a New Jersey-based nonprofit arts organization. He is also the founder of the monthly literary series The Platform and its accompanying journal, Platform Review.
His international portfolio includes producing mixed-media performances and poetry films featured worldwide. Rabinowitz facilitates creative writing workshops, teaches as an adjunct professor focusing on Career Building in the Arts, and was nominated for the Maria Mazziotti Gillan Literary Service Award. As a visual artist, his photography has been featured in several solo exhibitions, including Retrospective With Reading Glasses (CCM Gallery, 2022), TWINING (Canal Studios, 2026), and Poems Not Yet Written (Madison Community Arts Center, 2026).
